Baltic Submarine War: Sweden Showed the Way with Whiskey on the Rocks
The new NATO members Sweden and Finland are not taking any nonsense from Russia and there are some great precedents

The recent multiple episodes of damage to cables (both data and power) and pipelines in the Baltic Sea prompted considerable reaction from Finland and Sweden. Both nations have strongly emphasised the severity of the incidents, stressing the potential for disruption to critical infrastructure. Investigations were initiated to determine the cause and assign responsibility, but they take time.
Officials in both countries stressed the need for increased maritime surveillance and security. They acknowledged the shared vulnerability of Baltic Sea infrastructure and called for enhanced cooperation with regional partners. The incidents raised concerns about potential acts of sabotage and the security of underwater installations.
Finland and Sweden highlighted the importance of maintaining open communication channels with other Baltic Sea states. They reiterated their commitment to international law and the protection of maritime infrastructure. The incidents were discussed at governmental levels, with emphasis placed on coordinated responses.
